I have spent 25+ years in high-tech, across
South Africa, Spain, and Israel. My path has moved from
hands-on web development and team leadership into
DevOps, platform work, cloud architecture, and AI automation. I care
about automation, reliability, security, performance, and cost - and
about the people who use the systems we build. I speak
English and Hebrew fluently, and
Spanish at a working level. I am open to
DevOps, platform engineer, solution architect, or
AI automation engineer roles, including
relocation.
Where I have been
DevOps engineer
CloudBuzz, Israel · Sep 2024 - July 2025
In a consulting-style setting, I built and maintained infrastructure
for several clients - some fully managed, some partial. I used
Terraform and the AWS console, wrote Python and Bash automation, and
stayed close to troubleshooting, monitoring, and compliance
audits. Every week looked different; the common thread was making
things repeatable and observable.
Private cloud team leader
XM Cyber, Israel · Jan 2022 - June 2023
I led a team of six to eight backend engineers building automated
vulnerability scans across on-prem (Windows, Linux, Mac) and
private cloud, including Kubernetes. We also extended the scanning
stack itself. It was a mix of technical depth and people: priorities,
design, and shipping together.
Team leader & Scrum Master
Webpals (XLMedia), Israel · Jan 2019 - Dec 2021
I grew from leading one team of four to two teams totaling eleven
full-stack developers. We shipped features and cloud-based services
for the company's sites. I owned architecture reviews, design,
and technology choices beyond my immediate team when it helped the
wider org move faster.
Front-end team lead
VAT IT, South Africa · Feb 2017 - Oct 2018
I led four developers across legacy and new customer-facing apps.
The work spanned analysis, delivery, and operations - whatever kept
internal and public users moving.
Earlier roles
South Africa · 2012 - 2017
Senior web developer at 1Web Systems (insurance) and Double-Eye
(agencies and CMS). I spent years in PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript
stacks on Linux - foundations that still inform how I think about
platforms and delivery today.
